On April 27, 2021, in Split, the DIV Group signed a contract for the reconstruction of the intersection of the state road DC 8 on Širina Solin. The investor is Hrvatske ceste.

- This contract is a confirmation of a new era of DIV and Brodosplit business ventures. The Split shipyard can design, build, and transport all types of structures according to the customer’s individual needs, while DIV Group will assemble them on all European markets, said Tomislav Debeljak, DIV and Brodosplit CEO.

According to the project documentation, a new 471-meter-long bridge over the Jadro river and Širina intersection will be added between the existing spaced lanes. DIV Group will perform all reinforced concrete work on the foundations and columns, on which the steel span assembly made in Brodosplit will be mounted. The new bridge will consist of two separate roadways with two traffic lanes each. The Širina intersection will retain its full functionality, and the project documentation includes its reconstruction in the form of road reconstruction, lighting, existing traffic light devices, and other traffic signals and equipment.

Brodosplit will produce 14 segments of the main bridge girder weighing 2000 tons, paint them with a protective coating and deliver them directly to the construction site. All works will be done by the DIV group as a contractor with its specialized subcontractors.

The work area starts at the entrance to Solin from the direction of Kaštela with the reconstruction of the 990-meter-long road. It reaches almost to the viaduct between the shopping centers 'Tommy' and 'Salona Mall'.
