A significant anniversary of a symbol of industrial tradition, expertise, and perseverance!

Published: 01.07.2025.

On this day, July 1st, 1955, the Fastener Factory in Knin launched its trial production, just a few months after being registered with the District Commercial Court in Split (April 16th, 1955).

From that moment until today, the journey of the former TVIK to a modern factory within the DIV Group has been marked by continuous development, significant investments, and technological innovation. We are proud to state that we are now the largest producer of standard bolts in Europe, continuing to build on the strong foundations laid nearly seven decades ago.

With an investment of €50 million in war-torn areas, DIV Group is one of the few Croatian companies that has seriously recognized the importance of revitalizing formerly occupied territories. We responded to the call for investment and job creation in the region.

By purchasing the completely destroyed property of the TVIK fastener factory in Knin and fully restoring it, production capacity has been multiplied. Today, with over 22,000 m² of enclosed warehouse and production space, we are well-positioned for substantial growth and development.

The DIV Group, with its factory in Knin, successfully exports products to demanding markets of the European Union, as well as globally, including Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.

Our production range includes a wide assortment of metric fasteners in accordance with DIN, ISO, and EN standards, as well as inch-based elements according to ASTM and ASME standards. In addition to standard bolts, a significant portion of our production consists of structural bolts without preload (EN 15048) and with preload (EN 14399 + DASt 021), as well as OEM products tailored to individual customer requirements.

DIV specializes in serial production of bolts according to the following standards:

  • Hex bolts (DIN 931 / ISO 4014 and DIN 933 / ISO 4017)
  • Allen bolts (DIN 912 / ISO 4762)
  • Threaded rods and foundation bolts (DIN 975 / 976)
  • Strength classes: 8.8 and 10.9

Production capabilities:

  • Cold and hot forging
  • Heat treatment by tempering and carburizing
  • Surface protection: electro-galvanizing and hot-dip galvanizing
  • Shot blasting

According to customer requirements, we offer various types of surface protection – from electro-galvanizing with blue or thick-layer passivation (resistance up to 240 hours in a salt spray chamber) to hot-dip galvanizing, which ensures long-lasting protection in extreme conditions.

After chemical and mechanical preparation of the material, bolt production is carried out on modern automatic cold forging lines. Heat treatment is conducted under strictly controlled conditions, in a fully automated system with a monthly capacity exceeding 3,000 tons. Additionally, we apply extra protection types, such as zinc-based coatings and thin- and thick-layer passivations.

Our production program also includes the manufacturing of mechanical parts through sheet metal processing using laser, gas, and plasma cutters, CNC bending machines, hydraulic and eccentric presses. Sheet metal components are assembled into complex 3D shapes by welding, while universal parts are produced on CNC machines and machining centers.

For more complex forged products, we develop our own technological solutions, relying on advanced computer simulations and years of experience in producing special custom-made fasteners.

Our key advantages lie in:

  • Monitoring customer needs
  • Strict adherence to industry standards
  • Constant pursuit of improved quality and efficiency

Technical specifications:

Materials:

  • Standard and special steels
  • Stainless steels

Dimensions:

  • Diameters: from 5 mm to 90 mm
  • Lengths: from 10 mm to 3000 mm
  • Metric and inch threads
  • Strength classes: from 4.6 to 12.9, as well as B7, B8, B16 and other special grades

Surface protection:

  • Electro-galvanizing
  • Hot-dip galvanizing
  • Thin- and thick-layer passivation

DIV Group implements and maintains quality management systems in accordance with international standards: ISO 9001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001, ensuring the highest level of reliability, safety, and sustainability.

From the first production line to today’s modern factory employing over 350 workers and operating 40 production lines, we export to more than 40 countries worldwide. This anniversary confirms the strength of domestic industry and the importance of investing in technology, human potential, and global competitiveness.

Today, over 95% of our production is exported to global markets. Market shifts, such as the introduction of anti-dumping measures against Asian manufacturers, have further strengthened our competitive edge.

Thank you to everyone who is part of this story!
