DIV Group became part of the project to reconstruct the intersection of the state road DC 8 on Solin's “Širina”. The investor is Hrvatske ceste.
The reconstruction will start at the entrance to Solin from the direction of Kaštela. The road will be reconstructed on a length of 990 meters, almost to the overpass between the shopping centers “Tommy” and “Salona Mall”.
The reconstruction of "Širina" consists of the construction of a new road (bridge) between the existing roadways and its uneven crossing of the existing intersection of Širina and the river Jadro a with a 506-meter-long bridge. The new bridge with its reconnections to the existing state of the state road D8 will consist of two separate roadways with two lanes. The total length of the bridge with all components along the central axis is approximately 506 meters and consists of several stretched span units: two composite and one integral AB structure and retaining walls.
The span of the bridge is a composite structure made of 10 steel I-girders and AB panels in the first 14 sections and the last two sections AB frame, integral structure. The lower structure consists of 17 AB piers (2 abutments and 15 pillars).
After the construction of the new bridge, the existing intersection "Širina" will remain fully functional. The project documentation includes reconstruction in the form of pavement renewal, street lighting, existing traffic lights, and other traffic signals and equipment.
Reconstruction and renovation of existing bridges are also planned on the state road D8 (Stari and Novi Jadro), as well as reconstruction of the road (Marko Marulić Street) under the Stari and Novi Jadro bridges, as the structure gauges of the road under the Stari Jadro bridge have become too small.
The DIV Group will carry out all reinforced concrete works on the foundations and columns on which the steel span structure manufactured in Brodosplit will be mounted. Brodosplit will manufacture 14 segments of the main bridge girder weighing 2000 tons, provide them with a protective coating and deliver them directly to the construction site. All works will be carried out by DIV Group as a contractor with its specialized subcontractors.
